A guide for your information

We welcome both those patients who have private medical insurance and those who are choosing to pay for their own treatment.

Patients with private medical insurance

All major insurance companies are accepted, including Aviva, AXA PPP, Bupa, The Exeter, Freedom Healthcare, General & Medical, Vitality Health and WPA.

Before your treatment begins, you will need to obtain authorisation from your insurance company. Please ensure you bring this to your first appointment, along with details of your insurance company, your policy number and a claim form, to ensure the authorisation and billing process runs smoothly.

Please check your limit for outpatients fees, as this will include your consultation fees plus any scans and tests you may require.

If you require an operation, the hospital where you are being treated will obtain authorisation from your insurance company, who will then pay the fees on your behalf.

Please be aware that your policy will include an excess which you will need to cover. Details of this can be found in your health insurance policy document.

Patients paying for their own treatment

Initial consultation fee – £300.00
Follow-up consultation fee – £250.00

Any X-rays or scans which you may require following your consultation are billed separately by the hospital and will usually need to be paid for on the day of your appointment.

If you need hospital treatment, we will give you an up-to-date and accurate cost for this. It will vary depending on the hospital where you will be treated.

All invoices are due for payment on the date of your consultation / treatment and must be settled in full prior to consultation / surgery.
